Pink Roses in Bloom

Flower Care Tips

You've built the bouquet and brought it home, now how do you make it last?

Flower arrangement tools

Step 1:

Trim the stems by cutting about 1 inch from the bottom at a 45 degree angle.

You can cut shorter as needed for your chosen vase.

Some people recommend doing this under running water. It's up to you! As long as you put them in clean water promptly, either is fine.

Step 2:

Fill your vase with clean water and put in some flower food if you have it.

For best results, set the vase in a location that is out of direct sunlight.

Make sure there are no leaves in your water as that will create bacteria faster and shorten the life of your flowers.

Step 3:

Repeat steps 1 & 2 every couple of days.

Remove old water completely before refilling with fresh water. Trim stems a little bit each time to allow the flower to continue to drink. Place in a location that is not in direct sunlight.

Enjoy your flowers!
